A free proxy checker for HTTP, HTTPS & SOCKS5
Paste a list of proxies, pick the target URL you actually care about, and our online proxy checker tests each one for you, in parallel, with live results. It verifies the proxy can reach the target, measures response time, and resolves the real exit IP, its reverse-DNS host and geolocation. Works with authenticated and open proxies in every common format.
Any format, any type
HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5, with or without auth. AUTO detects the protocol per proxy, so you can paste a mixed list and just hit Start.
Speed & reachability
Each proxy is tested against your real target URL with a GET request, so the response time and OK/FAILED status reflect what your tooling will actually see.
Exit IP & geo
See the true exit IP for each proxy, its PTR host and country / city / region, handy for spotting recycled or mislabelled IPs before you buy.
Proxy checker FAQ
Is the proxy checker free?
Yes. The VaultProxies proxy checker is completely free and needs no account or signup. Paste your proxies, choose a target URL, and press Start.
Which proxy types are supported?
HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5 proxies, with or without username/password authentication. Leave the type on AUTO and the checker will detect HTTP vs SOCKS5 for each proxy automatically.
What proxy formats can I paste?
Any common format, one per line: login:password@host:port, host,port,login,password, http://login:password@host:port, socks5://login:password@host:port, host:port:login:password, and unauthenticated host:port or host,port.
What does the checker measure?
For every proxy it reports whether the target URL was reachable, the response time in milliseconds, the real exit IP, its reverse-DNS (PTR) host, and its geolocation (country, city, region).
Are my proxies stored or logged?
No. Proxies are checked statelessly, they are used only to run the test for that request and are never written to a database or log file.
Why can't a proxy checker run fully in the browser?
Browsers have no API to route fetch/XHR requests through an HTTP or SOCKS5 proxy, so the connection has to be made server-side. We do this on a stateless public endpoint and stream results back as each batch finishes.
